Freelance Mid-Level Azure Integration Engineer

Introduction

I am looking for a Freelance Azure Integration Engineer for a nationally operating organization in the energy and infrastructure sector. In this role, you will work on the further development of a modern integration platform and create links between various internal and external applications. You will actively contribute to the further automation, standardization, and professionalization of the integration chain.

Organization

You will be part of a specialized integration team responsible for both developing and managing integrations within a complex and technically advanced environment. The focus is on cloud-native solutions, Infrastructure as Code, and designing reliable integration traffic via API links and message-based communication. The team works in a hybrid model: two days on location and the rest remotely.

Job Information

As an Azure Integration Engineer, you will build and maintain integrations based on modern Azure components such as API Management and Service Bus. You will work on Infrastructure as Code, automate operational tasks, and optimize processes and tooling. In addition, you will support users and testers during projects and review both functional and technical designs.
You will contribute directly to a scalable, secure, and future-proof integration platform.

Job Requirements

• Experience with development within Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and Bicep
• Experience with API connections, Service Bus, Event Hub, or Streaming Analytics
• PowerShell skills
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
• Basic knowledge of C#, HTML, XML, XSLT, .NET, or WCF

• Start: January 1, 2026
• Duration: until December 31, 2026 (option to extend)
• Hours: 36–40 hours per week
