Freelance Security/ Infra Engineer

Introduction

For an organization in the province of Friesland, I am looking for a freelance Security/ Infra Engineer who is available from October 1 for 36 hours per week.

Job Information

As a freelance Security/Infra Engineer, you will be responsible for the secure and stable management of IT infrastructure. You ensure that systems, networks and platforms function reliably and meet high security standards, working within the frameworks of the BIO, ISO 27001/27002 and the NIS/NIS2 guideline. With your technical expertise and strong focus on information security, you actively contribute to increasing the digital resilience of the organization.

You realize technical security measures in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines and monitor security events via Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender products. In addition, you manage logging, such as event logs, syslog and audit trails, to maintain continuous insight into the IT environment. You analyze alerts, identify incidents in a timely manner and execute incident response to effectively mitigate risks. Based on risk assessments and vulnerability scans, you direct corrective actions and participate in security testing, hardening and improvement actions in response to audit findings.

Moreover, you contribute to the further professionalization of security and compliance within the organization. You actively support the improvement of security measures and promote awareness within management and user groups, making the organization structurally more secure and resilient.

Job Requirements

• Certified: Microsoft 365 Security Administration

• Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

• Certified Ethical Hacker
