Freelance Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Introduction

For our relationship in the mortgage industry, we are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer who preferably can help think about solution architecture.

You will work within a progressive digital platform that serves thousands of mortgage customers every day. Innovation, reliability and compliance are paramount. You will join a multidisciplinary team with DevOps, security and software experts, where your vision and experience have a direct impact on the architecture and performance of critical systems.

Job Information

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building and managing large-scale Azure cloud environments that meet the highest scalability, security and performance requirements. You will automate deployments and infrastructure with Terraform and Bicep, implement and manage Kubernetes clusters (AKS) and serverless components, and set up advanced CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. In doing so, you focus on enterprise-level security and governance, optimize cost and performance, and ensure that high-traffic workloads run reliably. You'll advise and work closely with teams on cloud architecture, disaster recovery and DevSecOps best practices.

Job Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, AKS is a plus
• Experienced with IaC
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Strong knowledge of security, governance and networking in Azure
• Experience with performance optimization, monitoring and troubleshooting
