Freelance IT Project Manager

Introduction

I am looking for an experienced freelance IT project manager for a large public organization. In this assignment, you will lead a complex and politically sensitive IT project involving the development and stabilization of a business-critical information system. You will combine strategic leadership with robust project management and stakeholder management.

Organization

You will be working within an implementing organization in the public domain where service provision, supervision, and enforcement are central. The organization operates in a dynamic administrative environment with many internal and external stakeholders. There is close cooperation with external suppliers. Professionalism, transparency, and a results-oriented approach are essential. Hybrid working is possible.

Job information

As an IT Project Manager, you are responsible for reestablishing and managing the project organization. You manage the project team and external suppliers and organize governance, planning, and decision-making. In doing so, you work based on recommendations from an independent evaluation of the project.

You ensure clear roles, transparent decision-making, and integrated project planning. You monitor progress, risks, and dependencies and report on these to the client and steering group. You are also responsible for stakeholder management within the organization and with external parties. Your focus is on achieving project milestones, improving collaboration, and creating a stable basis for further development.

Job requirements

• WO working and thinking level
• At least 5 years of experience with complex IT projects
• Extensive experience in managing project teams
• Strong in governance, planning, and stakeholder management
