Freelance MDM Operations Consultant

Introduction

I am looking for an experienced Freelance MDM Operations Consultant for a leading organization in the energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for stabilizing, optimizing, and ensuring the proper functioning of the Meter Data Management (MDM) landscape within a complex technical environment.

Organization

You will be working in a specialist field responsible for processing and securing reliable measurement data for business customers. The organization operates in a dynamic energy market where data quality, continuity, and compliance are crucial. In-depth MDM expertise is needed to structurally resolve operational disruptions and further professionalize processes. Hybrid working is possible.

Job information

As an MDM Operations Consultant, you will independently perform specialist tasks within the MDM system. You will analyze and resolve incidents and disruptions, correctly configure meters and measurement data flows, and ensure the reliability and timeliness of measurement data.

You coordinate content with business and IT stakeholders and identify structural opportunities for improvement within processes and data quality. The assignment is strictly limited to the MDM domain; software development and activities outside the MDM landscape are outside the scope. You are responsible for results and determine your approach independently.

Job requirements

• HBO level, preferably technical or IT
• Demonstrable experience with Meter Data Management
• Experience within utilities/energy market and market processes
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of MDM software and data communication (preferred: Itron)

Offer

• Start: March 1, 2026
• Duration: 5 months (option to extend)
• Hours: 24 per week
