Freelance Mobile App Platform Developer

Introduction

I am looking for an experienced Freelance Mobile App Platform Developer for a leading organization in the energy sector. In this role, you will build the foundation of a broad mobile platform that supports and accelerates multiple product teams.

Organization

You will work within a multidisciplinary Mobile Platform Team that is responsible for the shared mobile infrastructure. The focus is on scalability, quality, automation, and reusable components. The platform supports multiple apps and customer journeys within a complex, constantly changing environment. Hybrid working is possible.

Job information

As a Mobile App Platform Developer, you will develop and maintain shared mobile building blocks such as SDKs, components, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines. You will work with React Native and Expo and optimize the platform in terms of performance, reliability, testing, onboarding, authentication, and observability.

You will work closely with product teams and ensure that best practices, development standards, and DevOps principles are widely applied. In doing so, you will take responsibility for the entire development cycle ("you build it, you own it") and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tooling.

Job requirements

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Experience with React Native and Expo
• Experience with REST APIs and Git
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Testing Library, Maestro)
• Understanding mobile app lifecycle and UI/UX principles
• DevOps mindset and strong communication skills (English)
