Freelance Senior Azure Engineer

Introduction

I am looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Azure Engineer for an innovative organization within IT services. In this role, you will combine technical management with the further development of a fully Cloud Only platform. You will work on the availability, security, and optimization of the Azure platform and contribute to the adoption of new resources and automation.

Organization

You will be working within an IT team that manages a fully Cloud Only environment. Innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing are central to this team. The team works in a hybrid model, with you spending 1-2 days a week at the office in Tilburg and the rest remotely. Your expertise in Azure and DevOps processes will play a key role in further professionalizing the platform.

Job information

As a Senior Azure Engineer, you are responsible for the complete operational management and further development of the Azure platform. You maintain and optimize the various Azure resources, such as Application Gateway, API Management, Virtual WAN, and Kubernetes environments. You will implement changes via BICEP and YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps according to the Infrastructure as Code principle and ensure that these changes are documented and tested. In addition, you will support projects in implementing new resources and continuously improve the availability, performance, and security of the platform. You will work closely with colleagues in an Agile team and be willing to participate in an on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 availability of services.

Job requirements

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Solid experience with IT applications and infrastructure management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines
• Knowledge of scripting languages
