Introduction

I am looking for an experienced Freelance Test Automation Engineer for a leading organization within the public infrastructure sector. In this assignment, you will play a key role in increasing test maturity within an IT team that works on business-critical financial applications. You will firmly establish test automation and build a sustainable quality foundation for the future.

You will be working within an IT department that is responsible for developing and managing financial systems in a complex and dynamic environment. The organization works in an Agile manner and actively invests in modernization, automation, and quality improvement. Collaboration is central to the team, and there is room for personal initiative and technical vision. Hybrid working is possible.

Job information

As a Test Automation Engineer, you are responsible for designing, building, and implementing a modern test automation approach. You develop a scalable test framework and integrate automated tests into existing CI/CD processes. In doing so, you work closely with developers, functional specialists, and the Product Owner to refine test objectives and acceptance criteria.

You will perform both automated and manual tests, analyze test results, and ensure clear defect registration. In addition, you will actively contribute to the further professionalization of the testing process and share your knowledge within the team, so that test automation becomes structurally embedded in the working method.

Result of the assignment:
A robust and reusable test automation environment with high test coverage, integrated into the release process and supported by the team.

Job requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UiPath, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum work environments
