Freelance Manager of Cloud Transition

Introduction

I am looking for a Freelance Manager Cloud Transition with strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure. The organization is on the eve of a fundamental digital modernization, where a strategic migration to Azure is essential for future-proofing and agility of the IT environment.

Organization

This pension organization puts reliability, transparency and compliance at the heart of all its processes. The move to Microsoft Azure is part of a broader vision to modernize services, automate internal processes and better respond to changing laws and regulations. The IT department works on a project basis in multidisciplinary teams, with a strong focus on security and data quality. The home base is Amsterdam and there are also two other offices. Although there will be hybrid work, you must be willing to travel.

Job Information

As Manager Cloud Transition, you will lead the full transition to Microsoft Azure. You will draw up a future-oriented migration roadmap and ensure its implementation together with various technical and organizational stakeholders. You act as a bridge between IT, architecture, security, operations and governance. The team consists of over 30 employees.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead the cloud transition program toward Microsoft Azure
• Roll out governance structure consistent with oversight requirements
• Coordinate technical and organizational migration projects
• Advise MT and CIO on impact, risks and planning
• Managing Azure specialists, project leaders and external partners
• Monitor data security, cost and compliance within the cloud platform

Job Requirements

• Experience with large-scale cloud migrations within enterprise environments
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Azure certifications are a plus)
• Familiarity with laws and regulations in the pension or financial sector
• Experience with stakeholder management at C-level
• Knowledge of cloud governance, cost control and risk management
• Working according to agile/SAFe/Prince2 methodologies
