Freelance Network Engineer

Introduction

I am looking for a freelance Network Engineer with at least three years of experience in data center and enterprise environments.

Organization

The organization is a Dutch company that transports and stores energy via pipelines, with a growing focus on renewable energy sources.

Job Information

As a freelance Network Engineer, you will focus on the data center portfolio and, together with colleagues, perform all common management activities within the portfolio. You are responsible for troubleshooting and executing submitted RFCs.

In addition, you optimize security gateways, application delivery controllers (ADC), Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Internet connections. In this role, you frequently coordinate with functional and technical system administrators of applications and systems and work with external vendors. You will manage products such as Cisco, Checkpoint, BigIP F5 and Infoblox. In addition to the data center portfolio, you will also support other portfolios within the network team.

Job Requirements

• Experience with routing, switching & next gen security gateways

• Experience with application delivery and debugging

• Experience with F5 is a plus

• Experience with Ansible/Python is a plus

Offer

• Start date by arrangement

• Contract to December 2026

• 36 - 40 hours per week

• Hybrid working possible
