Freelance MFT Engineer (Axway)

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced MFT Engineer for a large organization with 24/7 operations. You will design, build, and manage file transfers on a centralized Managed File Transfer platform that connects internal systems and external parties.

Organization

The client is a large organization in the critical infrastructure sector. Many business processes run around the clock, so reliable and secure data exchange is essential.

You’ll be working on an integration team that develops and manages multiple integration platforms, including MFT, messaging, and API services. The team works closely with network, security, and application teams. Communication lines are short, and you’ll collaborate extensively with your colleagues.

Job Information

You’ll build MFT flows that make data available to internal users and external partners. You’ll handle everything from design to management, and you’ll largely decide for yourself how to approach the work.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input for the functional design of information systems
• Create technical designs for changes to the MFT platform and connected systems
• Request, coordinate, and oversee firewall changes until they are implemented
• Testing your own solutions through the acceptance phase
• Prepare and maintain system documentation
• Implementing Changes and Maintenance
• Managing multi-protocol MFT environments (including sFTP)
• Further expand automation, monitoring, and compliance within the MFT landscape

Job Requirements

• Extensive experience as an MFT Engineer
• Proven experience with Axway SecureTransport and/or Axway Flow Manager. Extensive MFT experience with other Axway products is also a plus.
• Experience with sFTP solutions and multi-protocol file exchange
• Strong knowledge of networks and infrastructure components
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
