Freelance GLIMS Application Administrator
Introduction
For a hospital currently in the midst of a large-scale migration of its laboratory system, we are seeking a freelance GLIMS Application Administrator to oversee the management and ongoing development of the system during this transition phase.
Organization
You’ll be working in a hospital setting where the laboratory plays a crucial role in patient care: test results must be available to doctors and nurses quickly, reliably, and without interruption. The lab uses GLIMS as its laboratory information system, which is integrated with various pieces of laboratory equipment and the hospital-wide patient record system.
A major migration project involving this system is currently underway. This adds an extra layer of complexity: integrations must be reconfigured and tested, data must be transferred correctly, and users must be able to continue relying on a stable system during the transition. You will work alongside an IT team responsible for healthcare applications and functional administrators from the laboratory.
For an experienced GLIMS administrator, this is a role that offers significant depth: you won’t just be managing an existing system, but will be closely involved in a migration that will shape the application landscape for years to come.
