Freelance AWS DevOps Engineer
Introduction
For an organization that plays a central digital role within the Dutch energy market, we are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer. You will work at the intersection of energy, data and cloud technology and directly contribute to a platform that is essential for reducing congestion on the power grid.
Organization
You will join a mature DevOps environment with multiple teams that are jointly responsible for the development and management of a national congestion management platform. The platform runs entirely in AWS and is the link between grid operators and market participants. Innovation, scalability and cloud-native engineering form the basis of the work, with a planned migration to a revamped AWS platform being a key part of the roadmap.
Job Information
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will work daily to design, build and further develop backend components within a complex cloud environment. You will combine platform development with management, optimization and incident resolution. You actively think along about architectural choices and the future migration to a renewed AWS environment, while continuing to guarantee the reliability of the current platform. You ensure that documentation and processes remain clear and up-to-date, participate in refinement and design sessions, ensure security and code quality and contribute to the automation of testing, deployments and CI/CD processes. In this role, you are both builder and guardian and have a visible impact on the stability and continued development of a mission-critical system.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience with AWS and cloud-native development
- Strong in Java/Spring Boot, Docker and Kubernetes
- Experienced with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Familiar with CI/CD, test automation and container deployments
- Proficient with Linux, scripting and monitoring/logging tools
- Pre: NoSQL/PostgreSQL, Keycloak, CQRS, experience in the energy sector
Offer
- Start: as soon as possible
- Duration: 6 months (option on extension)
- 32-40 hours per week
- Hybrid working, Amersfoort (min. 2 days in office)
