Freelance Data Migration Specialist

Introduction

For a leading organization within the energy sector, I am looking for a Freelance Data Migration Specialist. You will be working on a large-scale IT program that supports the energy transition by developing new systems and revamping existing ones.

This organization plays a key role in making the Dutch energy infrastructure more sustainable. From the headquarters in Groningen (hybrid working possible) you will work in multidisciplinary teams on innovative solutions for data, cloud and system development.

Job Information

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and executing the data migration strategy and realizing automated ETL processes. You will migrate datasets from on-premise to the cloud and ensure data quality and consistency. You will work with Azure Data Factory, SQL and Cosmos DB, and actively contribute to impact analysis, data analysis and quality improvement.

Core role:

• Develop and implement the data migration strategy
• Realizing ETL processes and data transformations
• Analyze and improve data quality
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and business users
• Preparation of technical designs and data mapping

Job Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with data migration, ETL and Azure Data Factory
• Knowledge of SQL, Azure SQL Server, Cosmos DB and Container Apps
• Experience with GitHub, unit and integration testing
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English
